2020 is nearly over and we are all still here!

A few things about December:

 

The month of December 2020 is here! This is a big month for holidays & specially recognized days. December is the first month of winter and the last month of the year (can you say FU 2020?). December 4th is National Cookie Day. And don't forget to put your shoes by the front door on the eve of December 5th in hopes that St. Nikolaus will fill them with candy and other goodies. The US recognizes December’s Pearl Harbor Day on the 7th. Winter officially begins on the Solstice, known as Yule by the Germanic People, which is the shortest day of the year. And for you astronomy buffs out there, Jupiter and Saturn will be so close as to appear as one giant planet, which hasn't happened since the time of Galileo. Hanukkah starts on the same day as Christmas Day this year, on December 25th. In Canada, they celebrate Boxing Day on December 26th where they celebrate their cherished service workers. Kwanzaa begins December 26th for 7 days. December is also the month we celebrate reading with Read a Book Month. And finally, we have two other awareness to note: Human Rights Month and National Handwashing Awareness Month, which I suppose should have happened in March.

 

So... are you ready for all of that??

How does it work? When does it begin? Do I have to eat tofu and styrofoam?

 

Well, you will need to log into the Balanced Habits app on a daily basis. There you will simply answer the questions that await:

Did I avoid sugar?

Did I exercise?

Did I drink enough water?

Did I get enough sleep?

Did I eat the recommended food portions?

On a weekly basis, we will log alcohol consumption and goal setting. We are aiming for positive answers 5 out of 7 days per week. This is a free program designed to help you discover what you need to work on in 2021. Let me know if you want to participate and download the Balanced Habits mobile app from the app store on your phone.

Starts on December 2nd because I will need a couple of days to enter everyone into the app.  

 

 

Do you have goals that you need some help with?

 

After assessing your levels, I expect you have some goals to hit in 2021. We are offering supplemental programming to help you get there.
