You know that saying, ""It is impossible to expect different results with the same action""? - well that saying is all about getting out of the comfort zone.
So for this ""🆃🅴🆂🆃🅸🅽🅶 🆈🅾🆄 🆃🆄🅴🆂🅳🅰🆈"" use your own workouts as an example:
If you know you can do 5 Strict Presses at a particular weight, but you never try for 6- how will you grow your Pressing strength, gain more muscle, and eventually get to 7 reps?
𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙨 ""𝙝𝙤𝙡𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙗𝙖𝙘𝙠"" 𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙮 𝙞𝙣 𝙨𝙚𝙢𝙞-𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙩 𝙤𝙛𝙩𝙚𝙣 𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙚𝙣𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝘼𝙈𝙍𝘼𝙋𝙨 for lifting reps or in workouts... if you notice yourself stopping at reps that are multiples of 5, OR at the end of a round in a timed AMRAP, consider that you might be stopping IN your comfort zone. ⏹
What if you pushed to 6 or 8 reps instead of at 5, or 11 instead of 10, 17 instead of 15... or what if you pushed into the NEXT round instead of stopping once you completed a full round but you still have 10 seconds left?
THAT is pushing 💥outside the comfort zone💥
Pushing out of the comfort zone might mean difficulty, might mean it doesn't look perfect, might mean you stumble or ""fail""- but if you don't try, how do grow and reach the next level?
So many people avoid pushing for something greater than what they've known because they are insecure about how they might be perceived, or they are unwilling to try in case they ""fail""...
This mindset is saying, ""I will only try something outside of my comfort if it's guaranteed I will succeed on the first try. 🥴🤦♂️
